Winter matured leaves and stems from March’s harvest, which are then roasted to maintain their full leaf character. The rustic and honest appearance of the tea calls to mind natural leaves from the forest in fall, with an earnest flavor and aroma. This tea is grown without artificial fertilizers or pesticides.

Bancha has very little caffeine, low enough to be often served iced to children. While it does contain caffeine, those who find themselves sensitive to it can enjoy in moderation without ill effects.
